Receiving Plants from Florida
Thank you for ordering tropical foliage from Morning Dew Tropical Plants!
Here are a few guidelines to assist you in properly receiving your plant material.
When your shipment arrives, please be sure to count the number of sleeved plants and the number of boxes. If the count you received does not match your Morning Dew invoice, you must indicate the shortage in writing on the truckline’s paperwork.
If there are any damaged plants or boxes, this must be indicated in writing on the truckline’s paperwork. Do not leave the plants on the truck; they will not bring them back to Florida.
If you are missing plants, please call your salesperson at Morning Dew as soon as possible and let us know of the shortages. We will help you determine if the missing items were not shipped by the growers (credit from Morning Dew) or lost in shipping (credit from the trucking company)
If there are QUALITY problems with any of the plants, please call your salesperson at Morning Dew Tropical Plants as soon as possible. We will work to resolve your quality claim to your satisfaction. Do not leave the plants in question on the truck, they will not return them to Florida. Photos are required for all quality claims, so make sure you document any issues.
If you are shipping on a separate LTL truckline and paid freight to them directly, you would need to claim with them on any shortages or plants damaged in shipping.
If you paid freight to Morning Dew (either for an LTL truckline or on Morning Dew Express) we will work with you to resolve claims on shortages or plants damaged in shipping.
All claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, as stated on our invoice, or the claim may be disallowed.
